Hi
I have today finally got round to replacing the pipe that goes from the pancake pipe to the solid metal pipe at the rear of the engine on my car as it was leaking. The car is a Golf 1.8T AUM and the pipe has a jubilee clip on the pancake pipe end and a metal horseshoe type clip on the other. The problem is when I took it out for a test drive the pipe blew off from the horseshoe clip end. I have had a look at it and obviously put it back wrong (just clipped it back in making sure the clip located in the slots on either side of the metal pipe. I have found two lugs sticking out and have managed to get one of the bent up ends of the clip in between them and then clipped it back in to the slots, is this right as I can't see any other way of fitting it and I don't want to have the thing blow off again as it scared the crap out of me and I lost power

. Any help would be appreciated, sorry if my description is not very good but hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about. Sorry I have posted this in the wrong section, not having a good day

Cheers
Mark
