Thanks for the replies,  its in for Mot at work tomorrow ( i get them cheep so having one just to know what needs doing) 

Im going to give it a full service, cambelt, do all the work that needs doing etc..  needs a bit of body work really but nothing serious, i plan to restore it to near new condition really! Will see how it goes after the service, this has been sat for 8 months with the same oil etc..

It set me back £400.

Ah, what exhaust you goin for now?  I bet its still in perfect condition ay?   

Having been away from golfs for a while, it was odd getting back into one lol,  although compared to the automatic accord... its luxury, even though its running like a bag of nails with no door card haha!!  (work in progress  )

i got new 2.5" turbo-back system, QPeng downpipe and a two box, non-res Jetex system.
