Right - fix one thing only for something else to break! Does God Hate Me!?

Again the price of car paints has rocketed.  A Golf (I am being careful here) is a fairly small easy car to prep yourself and get the professional to paint etc with 2K

What made it £1700 - The most I have heard a car being repainted down near Portsmouth is about £1000.  Well it's a nice Golf but like I said you will horrified to find scratches and dings in it every day.

To fit and prep new wing, Tailgate & Bonnett...

Full prep work on the rest of the car, strip down etc etc... 2 pack high gloss paint, then putting all back together

Plus £300 VAT...

wings, and bonnets are just patience and planning and a few bolts.

I can understand the price if you just said get on with it and I'm not getting my hand dirty? 

Didn't mean to offend you - you got what you paid for - that paint will be good for another 10 years at least, and its a good one can't take this from you. just not the price for me.

But it's like that old cliche - it's not what you know, it's who you know.

Yep I did just give'm the car and said get on with it.... I dont know the first thing about body work... & TBH I am over the moon with the finish...

The whole car has had all the dints and little prangs taken out, every panel has been redone...

I don't think its out of the window price wise... Bet you if it was an insurance job it would have been 3k..

Yes I could have had done cheaper...

But I am a beliver in "you pays for what you gets"....& I trust the guys who have done the work as they are also heavily in Dubs and some of the stuff they have done has appeared in the Press....
