They look like 14" Driver steels with 185-60 tyres to me.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I thought the original, proper G60 wheel thats been obsolete for years had round holes... the D shape holes on 'G60' wheels nowadays are just Passat winters..

Apparently this is the case.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

The 357 prefix to the wheels part number indicates Passat.  :nerd:

If this is the case, then I'll hold my hands up and say I dont know for sure then...
If they did a wheel that was the same dimensions as the current G60s, but with round holes, where are they now! I want some
Some Golf Driver wheels were fitted with trim rings, that made the wheel seem to "appear" deeper dish, and a slightly larger diameter,
could this be what people are thinking of?

I think that Driver wheels had smaller holes... like these, also fitted with trim rings... http://www.chilvers.net/Master_pic_file/Items_for_sale/golf/DSCF1389.JPG

They are later driver and 8v GTi steels in 14" guise. G60 winter steels are 15" and have D shaped holes. But those centre caps fit all 14 and 15 inch wheels. I ran those exact caps on my 15" winter steels last year.

I used to have a set of the original Golf G60 6x15 winter wheels and yes, they had round holes. I sold them to a bloke in Oxford about 10 years ago.
