Newbie with a few questions!

Hi all, i have been lurking around for a while and decided to treat myself to an 08, 3dr in white with leather and 18's. Have to say its the best car i have owned for some time now, unfortunatly not been out in her too much for the weather but i've already got the bug and looking to make a few changes!

First of all i love the ED30 alloys, i believe they are the BBS CH rims - i have had a quick look around but cant seem to find them in the lovely grey that are on the ED30 - anyone know if they can be bought or is it best to buy silver then get them coated?

Secondly, the genuine BBS rims are approx £1400 with "budget" tyres approx £1800 with Mich PS2 Assy's fitted, but the replicas can be had for approx 600, whats the benefits over the genuine items?

Thirdly - the good old remap issue, reading about i'm tempted to go with the not over the top bluefin rather than APR, revo etc - any thoughts on the issue?

Last of all the leather, it is in good condition but after 15k of milage the drivers bottom bolster is starting to slightly crease, has anyone got some tips/remidys to keep it from losing shape and looking good?

Good morning.  The Ed 30 rims are similar to the CH, but not the same.  The VW rims are a different colour and only 7 1/2" wide as opposed to normally 8" on the CH.

Take a look at PW motorsport if you want a decent set of rims, they are currently knocking out genuine BBS VZ's for £599 (18x8 Et 44) the offset will also give the car a whole lot better stance.  They come in bright silver only.

Had a quick look and look good, pardon my lack of knowedge but with the standard offset being 51 and the VZ's 44 what is the difference, in fact...What is offset??

If you want genuine edition 30 alloys try piston heads,there were a couple of sets on there last week.
