I'm female and my mk2 (8v) still costs £400 a year - and I've had my license 5 years, 3 years no claims, never had any points/convictions/claims, and I'm 24!

And my mk2 is only on a low mileage, no commuting and lives on my driveway at home!

Wtf  :undecided:

Oh yea and that's for fooking 3rd party as well!

Do a quote on these comparison sites as if you were 25, is should go down a lot.
I was 24 the day I got my first MK2 tried insuring it and it was over a grand, waited a day (my birthday was the next day) and it went down by £400 or so.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

back on the insurance front make out its a good idea to go on each others insurance and you get a few benefits
1 cheaper insurance
2 when your car is broke you have the use of her car
3 if any one else has a missus like mine they wont drive your car anyway through fear of damage retribution
