front speakers

hey guys looking to get some new front and rear speakers for my mk4 golf 3dr i was just wondering what size speakers to look for the front? and the back aint on parcel shelf theyre next to the front of the back seat lol like in the door card are these same size as the front ones? and how easy are they to fit new ones?

Fronts are 17cm or 6.5inch and AFAIK the rear's are the same size, If your gonna buy replacments then dont forget to buy the spacer rings. :afro:

or you could make some with a sheet of thick wood you find lying around at work and a jigsaw like i did  didnt cost me a penny hehe :laugh:

marine ply or mdf would be best if you are gonna diy it. a

also paint them before fitting and seal the joins if you stick rings together (to increase the clearance)
