Re-Remapping?
« on: 16 December 2009, 11:59 »
Hey Guys, been looking at this car for sale http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=132138.0 but theres the possibility that a new Ecu will be needed. The cars already been remapped by you guys and i was wondering on how you stand with remapping it again if the Ecu was changed. Would you charge? If so would you offer a discount seeing as its the same car etc?

Was also gonna ask.If you have a standard car and all the parts needed to go to stage 2,do you charge for both stage 1 and 2 remapping or just stage 2?
Cheers

I doubt the ecu is at fault.  Its going to be summat silly bringing the fault codes up a good logging session is needed.

Only if we had the old ecu back we would take the map off then we would put them map on to the new ecu in the car for free.

If you want the map changing then yes you would pay the full amount for the work carried out. spec 2 or revision upgrades.
