Hey All,
Just wanted to pick your brains so to speak had an mot done oct and had to have a coil spring replaced on rear passenger side, ok I thought (some people did tell me best to change both-but??) anyway driving home noticed when I turned right/cornered right there is a rubbing noise which goes as soon as you straighten up.At the time had only just been told head gasket gone-so since then have replaced engine and I am still sort of running the car in so to speak. The Garage which done MOT is only down the road so will go back, anyway took a look at the rear o/s wheel noticed the plastic damper cover not attached had come away from the rubber mounting?

. Could this be causing the noise, the shock seems ok no movement there ie sideways.
Also when engine is at operating temp turn off and restart get what seems a knocking of the exhaust right through the car, also when reversing get the noise sometimes can feel it on the handbrake etc. Could it be exhaust manifold to tight on engine or exhaust just knocking perished rubbers that hold it on underneath?
Lastly, the heater dial lights seem to have a life of there own, one moment they come on the next not, dodgy bulb??? connection is it easy to replace bulb or check connection?
Any help or advice greatly welcome!
Thanks
Jason
