Transmission Advice
« on: 03 December 2009, 17:44 »
Still got occasional problem with car pulling away in 1st;  It can sometimes judder on the clutch and the gearstick shake slightly.  Seems to get worse if I'm stuck in traffic on and off clutch, also noticing slight vibration through pedals (particularly clutch) in motion.....

Fitted the VR6/G60 upgrade = never solved it
Fitted THS dog-bone = never solved it
Fitted upper G.box mount = never solved it

Seems to be slowly getting worse   :undecided:  G.Box or other problem in anyone's experience?

Come on guys, anyone got any help here?

Last week I took it back to place that did the clutch and he suggested replacing the upper g.box mount to solve the wobbly stick, this didn't do it.  He suggested the clutch vibration was engine noise due to the G60 flywheel (not being a DMF).

Gearbox
Clutch again
Other.... ?

This is getting me (and my wallet) down!

I'm also convinced that's not to blame.  If there's a clutch related issue there too, I've perhaps caused it compensating for the other problem and shagged the new VR6 unit.

If the work needs doing it needs doing, I think I'm just avoiding the thought of telling our lass we need to throw another £500 at the car for a replacement clutch & g.box...

Wish me luck!
