Would Golf MK3 Ignition Coil, Fit/Work in a Golf MK3 GTI?

So im selling my Ignition Coil from my Golf MK3 on eBay. Someone asked if this part would fit their Golf GTI 16v?

Would It?

same on all MK3s except some VR6, they have a great big one on side of head dont they?
