hi all im in some need of some big help.....aint been on for a couple of weeks as i been away but when i got back from holiday went to go get my car from gatwick were i work and battery was dead as anything not a problem i just jumped it off one of the work cars and i was on my way but ever since my central locking wont work on my remote all the time it will only lock one or only open the boot also every couple days like this morning my mfa and trip make a clicking sound and reset themselves any one got any ideas could it just be i need a new battery!?

I would say give the battery a proper slow charge overnight off the car.....and see if it improves (I guess the alarm has flattened the battery and my old gti was the same but a good recharge and it was 100% again...lasted 2 years + like this before i sold the car.)

i'd say sounds like the battery is pretty screwed... new one. recharging old ones doesn't always work very well...

after spending an hour and mayb 2 hours going through erer last night and reading up on other people prblems i think it might also be the central locking pump as it make alot of noise and also wont unlock all doors even with the key in the door lock some times...it also carries on making a noise (the few time it does work) after unlocking the doors anyone reckon this sounds right!?

thanks to davemark who im getting some bits off of... the problem werent the battery if was a fuse which i cost me a whole 1.69 to fix jb done yey!! next problem
