car was a lake earlier
« on: 21 November 2009, 16:45 »
went out to sort a little leak earlier and found a great kin lake in my car so ended up stripping interior out to dry it
i thought it was coming in through the edge of the heater box vent in the scuttle so resealed it then later found that water was also dripping straight down the vent from the scuttle panel drain hole
is there a cover that shields the vent but still leaves it open or is it something i will have to make
cheers

i bought myself a welder a few months back for when such events happened as i knew it would come at some point with it turning 20 this year
as for the leak i taped half the vent up as a temporary measure and there was a very small patch in footwell but i think that could be from the underlay on the bulk head just need to find/make a cover for the vent
