clutch question

my clutch has started slipping wen the engine is warm, is this normal to show its coming to the end of its life, as i know the clutch does need doin this is my first car so wont kno if it is or not

Question would be when did you last have it changed?
Any service history?

If it is going to need to be replaced, I'd make sure you get the cable, release bearing and actual clutch replaced all the same time. Let it bed in over a few hundered miles and it'll be a different car.

This is what happened to mine. The thing is with a clutch, they don't get progressively worse - they just slip for a while, then bang.. no clutch. Best to get it changed asap, and whilst you're at it get the clutch cable changed. I got an LUK clutch and a clutch cable fitted for £273+Vat. Now my car feels 10X better!

i get paid next thursday anyway so gettin it done £140 supplied and fitted its only a 1.3

And to add to that, I now have a major gearbox oil leak - groovy. I'm going straight back to the mechanics on Monday.

My mechanic managed to forget to put the bung back where the speedo cable goes resulting in a nice big puddle gearbox oil... He sorted it though.

turns out the gearbox seal had gone and leaking oil onto the clutch and reluctantly had to pay for a reconed box
