Boost Overlay On RR Graph
« on: 03 November 2009, 21:16 »
Hey Nick,a few of us think it'd be a great idea if you could plumb the boost line into the dyno software to show us what boost we're making and where.

Come on,you know you want to

I will call innovate and order the add on unit to convert the signal back to a 0-5v scale to work with the system.

The current setup allows us to log the load, boost, rpm, afr, and create 3d maps and text charts to work from via another system not linked to the roller software.

The LM2 lambda has a second 0-5v output which we can use to over lay on the dyno, but the boost logging bit only has a didigal serial out put which wont scale in volts.

Down to me then??  Get me that biro pen Chris..

I will get it done, it will make it eaiser for us to plot where changes are needed without printing the maps / text maps off.

LOL  I have to draw the curves on for the Halfords posse!  Saxo, Corsa, Micra owners so they can see the 25bhp gain from there air filters..

Got a silly big bhp Skyline Nissan turbo booked in for 2 weeks time on a sunday for custom Apexi remapping, which should end up over 600bhp, lol  the rolling road should load the car up for 600bhp+ but the curve will be off the software scale to to the amount of load needed....biro time again..

In the early day I had to plot the graphs at every 250rpm, working from 6500rpm and work down to 1750rpm then plot the graph with a pen, then work out the torque from Kilowatts to lbft and plot a torque graph.

Nick

We use the Innovate multi chain system.

one of the parts in the chain is the LMA-3 aux box http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lma3.php we need to find a way if tapping in to the map sensor voltage...

It tool me 3 bloody weeks to getting it working in the pc using the software which was included, then another 4 months getting it to map my theory maps right.
