I cant help with any of the parts, but I would be interested to see a few pictures of before, during and after the restoration. Sounds like it could be quite a rare car once complete.

No wind deflectors should be fitted.

Wheels should be either 5.5 x 13 steels or the optional alloys in the same size like on my car below

Thanks for the info - your car looks good!!!
I'm hoping to keep mine as original as poss and is the subject of a full restoration job at moment, my car currently is fitted with bbs alloys - no wind deflecters are fitted(i was going to though!!)
I'll send some photos if you would like. let me know.

That car looks totally mint, well done. One saddo thing i have spotted though is that the front passenger side wheel looks to be out in a positive camber way.
