light flashing on dash, help needed

  just lately the light above the temprature gauge has started to flash all the time, i know if it flashes now and again it means theres not enough coolent etc, but what does it mean when it does this?? is my car about to die???

Check your levels, if there is a rush of air, and the reservoir refills itself, when you take the cap off, it could mean your head gasket is on its way out.
