Ok, just got off the search feature and nothing's come up, so I'll make a post!
I'm thinking about re-building the top end of my 8v Digifant engine (PB code). I'll also be sorting the gearbox out, just linkage and change the oil inside it. The whole lot is currently standard and covered 140,000 miles.
Now I'm sort of happy with the car, but it could do with some fresh life. I'm not looking to spend a small fortune on the car. In fact I'm looking as spending next to nothing. Now once it's had it's top end re-build and gearbox sorted, I'm wondering if it's worth scouting a 2.0 litre bottom end and also fitting Piper fast road camshaft and pulleys.
I'm trying to keep the car OEM+ but just want that little bit extra something from the engine. Please, any advice, ideas or how-to guides would be appreciated.
