This guy advertised this on ukmkiv's saying it's a straight swap for k03?

Is it any bigger than a k03s? And I take it its smaller than a k04 off a 225?

Yes bigger than the K03s. Not any smaller than the K04 found on TTs/S3s apart from the exhaust housing is the right way round to fit onto a Golf manifold and downpipe so modification isn't needed

This turbo was never on any production car, it was purely an upgrade

You will definitely need a remap after fitting this though, you can't just plug and play

Do you mean modification isn't needed? So essentially this is a bolt on k04 that just requires a remap, why is it so popular to go for the k03s then and not this?

but you do need to upgrade things like maf, injectors, fuel pump, Fuel Pressure Regulator etc if you are going down the ko4 route! :wink:
the ko3s is the cheaper option!

Ah I see fair do's. Just always wondered as I'm not a Mk4 owner, but recently i've got the proper horn for one lol. Bit of a difference from what I've got now though so i'll keep on reading for a bit lol.
