 Am i right in thinking all sensors on a Golf gti 16v (1992) are M10x1 thread
also my oil temp is at times getting quiet high 120-134 i read in some threads that the oil temp sensor is on the back of the head could the exhaust heat be affecting the reading i have a full stainless steel system.

the 3 small single pin ones on the side and the oil temp round the back are M10x1 yes.  check the colour of the colars on the sensors, the 3 on the side should be black, and the one on the back should be white.  Wire colours:

red/yel - dash temp gauge
blue/white - ignition control unit
red/green - isv

green/black - mfa oil temp
