Been out, no go.

The revs go up as the torque convertor spins up and it just goes forward.

Moderately quickly, but nothing special, I'm sure it was better.

If you hold the brakes and rev it slightly to spin the clutches/torque convertor up then let go of the brakes and floor it it does just sh!te too.

New auto box soon? :(

I don't think you have a problem to be honest.

In my experience with autos you should not be able to spin the wheels!
Thats the function of the torque converter.

If you could spin the wheels then I would say you had a faulty gearbox!

So I should stop worrying over nothing and drive an auto the way its meant to be driven!

My VR6 auto will NOT spin the wheels and I think there's more chance from its 2.8L 180Bhp (ODB2 ) lump than a 1.8L.

+1. I think you WOULD have a problem with the gearbox if it DID wheel spin on a standard engine.
