photographic kit hire

Alright, so I got offered a possible paid gig taking pics at a company's Christmas party, but to do so, I'm gonna need a decent flash and possibly a 50mm prime lens.
So, I'm looking into hiring for a day or two just for the job.
Has anyone hired kit and if so which company ?

The added complication, is that I'm looking for kit to fit my Sony Alpha rather than the more common Canon and Nikon.

i used a company called lensforhire.co.uk really good prices and I spoke to the guy there before hand and was really helpfull not sure if they do flash's but lens was delivered on what ever day you want etc i rented a canon10-20mm for a wkend cost me £40
