Quick Question - Windscreen Washer Bottle - Mk2

Well it failed the MOT on Windscreen Washers not working, amongst other things, so I went to fill them up and the entire washer bottle is missing!  The pipework from the jets just ends where it passes through the bulkhead into the engine bay.  Now I think that the bottle and pump should fit on the near side behind the battery, but I'm not completely sure, where there appears to be a mounting bracket and lead.  My question is this "are the washer bottles all the same across the Mk2 model range or do I need a specific Mk 2 GTi 8v one?"  I'll need to visit a scrappy during the week so answers as soon as possible please.

Many thanks, I've just bought the Haynes Manual, not the best I know but readily available, and it says that before '87 there were two, one for the front and one for the back, but after '87 it went to one only in the front with a reversible pump and non return valve.  I will go looking for one from the scrappy tomorrow, hopefully!
