Well, nerd mode on, the standard alloys were made by BBS!

But the only factory wheels were the 17'' Monzas - which are a traditional alloy with an all over silver paint finish.

And then there was the factory option of the 18'' Monza IIs - which are the same basic pattern as the 17s - but these are anthracite grey painted on the insides of the spokes, inside the bolt holes, and all over the inner rim face, and the outer face is 'diamond turned' and then clear lacqured.  But these can be problematic - search the Mk5 section for 'white worm'.

Sorry, what I meant was the ed30 wheels, did they come as an option on the gti at all? Have heard the horror stories about the poor quality, not a good sign!!  :undecided:

The Ed30 wheels were only available on the Ed30, and not the ordinary GTI

Getting a proper GTI  :lipsrsealed:

If you are lucky they did the leather recaros in the GTI as an option, i spotted one the other day. We had 'recaro nod' then off we went

Mapped mk4 vs mapped mk5

The mk5 comes with a bye bye mk4 gti sticker as standard
