Remap on Seat Ibiza Cupra Mk3 2000 reg
« on: 04 September 2009, 16:12 »
Hi guys

Ive got a Seat Ibiza Cupra Mk3 and looking at getting it remapped i know this is a golf forum but we have the same engines.

Just had full service cambelt and waterpump change and new brakes and changed my vacuum hoses so should be ready for the remap.

I was wondering what gains i would be expecting and how much you would want as i see some threads saying £250 but also some saying £200.

Also how can you do your maps at this price as Revo charge double this for theirs.

Thanks

Chris

I have a few mins spare so I will try and get my point across.

Easy.  If you look at the big remap names as companies, franchises and not a just a remap then you will see what you paying £400 for.

We dont waste £10000s every year on middle mens wages, sales team wages, support staff wages, glossy mag adverts in every VAG mag, sponsorship on 90% of the vag forums, dealership merchandise, top quality POS material, Project cars.  Then the price has to include a £££ cut for the dealers who flash the car, then a £% to the HQ, then to the development team ect.
Revo can bring there prices down really low if they wanted to, They had a really good deal on today at the ED38 show, and during the summer shows up and down the UK they do great deals.

We have the correct tools to produce quality remap, load based rolling road, external logging tools ect.  We also have the knowledge and skill for tuning and making sure every car is spot on and every customer is happy with our service and product. And we only spend around £2500 per year on adverts and promotions, the bulk of our work comes from word of mouth which costs us nothing, just for us to keep offering the very best customer service and support to all of our customers.  If we offer crap products or if we slack we dont get the customers feedback then we dont get the new customers.

No matter what remap your using its only as good as your engine and the person flashing the file.  There is a  franchise down south (not a revo dealer) who has not got ramps, rolling road or even basic tools, infact they work from a shop.  A customer went there to have a remap carried out, the remap was carried out at the side of the road without the bonnet being opened and without a pre remap vagcom diagnostics. Then after the car was remapped the dealer/tuner said he could do a vagcom check for an extra £30 on top of the £300 remap price. The customer then came to us for a stage2 remap and said the car was never running right with the stage 1 map from the other company, and went back a few times to be turned away.

The best thing about this is that in May this year guys at the main dealer/ HQ had the cheek the slag my remaps and customer service off to one of there customer who asked about us..lol   When infact they have the worst track record for customer service, back up and support.

All spec1 remaps no matter who remaps the car will give the wow factors, some tuners maps are aggresive down low, some are very bland and smooth, and some like ours are strong smooth and consistant.  The main part when having a car remap is making sure the car is in a fit state to be remapped, not just write the software and hope all will be ok and it not wash your hands and blame the engine.

If this post got wrote on the seat forum it would be deleted and the poster would be banned, just to keep the forum sponsors happy...  Plus the sponsors get all the bad feedback deleted from the board???

Our current price is £250 for the remap, this will include a free rolling road session if you come up to us.

If you drop me a line Monday I will talk you through your options.

Yeah i know im gonna love it, i had a 260bhp astra turbo before the ibiza so i know what a difference remaps make, i sold the astra tho to become debt free and because i had just moved into a new place so looking forward to the ibiza being abit quicker.
