What annoys me is that I stay in a street where I get a lot of learner drivers. Recently I have seen that a lot of the tutors have recently upgraded their cars
Now my street is full of Ford Fiestas and Hyundai i-130’s.

According to Autoexpress the Fiesta is a better car, because it has a better chassis and more fun round a track.

How many learner drivers have I seen in a Golf GTI (mmmm let me think!)

So in my opinion if you don’t have a full driving licence, pick a Fiesta.   :embarassed:

If on the other hand you have passed your test, are over 45, with no points on your licence, and your insurance will be under £200, pick the GTI.

Sorry, Mrs Gazdebaz has just told me off, she knows I am hoping people will bite at the last comment.

The Fiesta is probably more fun to drive, that's why it's higher than the Golf. I'm surprised the hot Megane isnt on the list too, and I'm also surprised the Audi came first.

Not surprised. My old mk1 Cayman S is better than my current mk 2 Carrera S as a driver car esp. around circuit with a lot of bumpy corners . If they put the Carrera S engine into the Mk2 Cayman S, I think it will outperform the R8 V10.
Saying this, driving any 911 fast on a track is still a very unique experience! You will get sweaty palms but a big grin after!

Im please that they rate the golf gti highly. Looks a decent trackcar as well. The car is very 'throttle adjustable'. I don't expect the Gti beating the clio but surely it is a better car than a fiesta. Why the Focus RS not in the top 20?????
Wonder whether the test car got ACC. The body roll is much more pronounce than the Clio and fiesta.

Re tracking the golf gti, I intend to find out!

Re focus rs, it is there but a few places behind the golf

End of the day, I'm taking this with a massive pinch of salt, the only thing that really matters to me is their comment that the golf is the best day to day out of the lot

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

there was a test of the Focus RS and the hot Megane and the Megane was reckoned to be the best chassis and the most fun to drive, Golf came last for handling.
