so when i try to start it, there should be a spark from distrubutor?

Take it out of the top of the distributor and do as VW BUSH says,

If there is its not a coil pack.

Mk3's didn't have separate coil pack, there is a coil and a dizzy.
First unplug no.1 ht lead, check for a spark.
If there isn't then unplug the centre lead in the dizzy, check for a spark.

Common on Mk3 for Coil to go like this, first thing to check if your car dies
With power and Petrol ok

well the main lead out of the distributor has a spark and so does no.1 ht lead:)

I reckon fuel or ecu relay. Or maybe crank sensor? Failing that maybe the dizzy itself?

It won't be the dizzy as there is a spark.
Check for the fuel pump priming next, or crank it over for about 5-10 seconds, remove a spark plug and smell the cylinder for fuel.
