I suppose if you are able to get 40mpg+  it's a good sign that your engine is in good order and not losing power.

can you link mpg with condition of engine in power sense?

^^  I think what he means is that if it was running rich or lean you wouldn't get good mpg.  Poor mpg is usually a good indicator of something wrong...

most ive seen was 40.6 mpg on a 60miles commute from wakefield to accrington, was a fairly boring drive at 60-70mph all the way there but my fuel to pump went up this made it alot easier to drive at that speed lol

i average around 20-25 around town and normal motorway journey around 30-35mpg

quite happy with that bar the town figure lol

I regularly get 42mpg on a light footed cruise on  250+ mile trips. Even if my food gets a little heavier, my mpg doesn't drop below 36ish. My car has a re-map only.
