Edition 30 Tinted Glass?

I've searched the forums and couldn't find an exact answer.
I'm wondering according to the edition 30 brochure it comes with "heat insulating tinted glass".
So that mean the glass comes tinted as standard right? Are they tinted as standard front and back, if so I take it I won't have to declare them as mods?
If they are factory ones, according to a post by Hurdy it is the glass that coated and not the film. My insurance says it would invalidate the policy if it was film, so I went outside and tried to scratch the type of the window and I couldn't feel any film at all.
So I guess in that case its not the film?

All glass on ALL Mk5s is tinted.  Are you not getting it confused with the 'privacy glass' - which is a much darker, black looking tint from the B pillar rearwards?

''yes'' mate.If you have the privacy glass when you look at the car from the b post back you will see the glass is a lot darker.Otherwise the glass will loook the same shade on all the windows.

Yup, very easy.  And even easier for the stealer! 

You can either PM me your full VIN, and I carry out the same online look-up that is just a 'bread and butter' task for the stealer.  Or you can go out to the car, and note the PR numbers on the data sticker.  This is found in two places, on the metal floor under the boot carpet, or inside the front cover of your service book.  You should be looking for something like '4KF' or very similar.
