23 quid later and all is well, pretty easy job, handbrake light was on becuase i was low on fluid.

I think i still have an intermittent fault with the right hand  rear sensor, but it was the left that was totally fooked.

MOT tomorrow, finger crossed

ok seems i spoke to soon, bought a new sensor for the right hand side as the abs light kept comming on occasionally, run vagcom with the new sensor in place and it says something along the lines of "reading not with parameters" is the sensor I've bought faulty? or is it something else

thanks

Does it say which sensor is throwing the error? If it is the right sensor switch the plugs around from under the rear bench so the right sensor goes into the left and left into right. If the error code switches to left then you know you have a dodgy sensor.

swapped over the cables, and i think my controllers on the way out as it was still saying right hand side is faulty, strange thing is that if i leave it with the cable switched over, clear the faults the fault does not return.

so on the hunt for a new controller, two questions will this do on 1996 mk16v and where is it in the car, I can hear it ticking away with Vag com but cant locate it
