Right i've plugged up that hose now idles alot better...but lost my Oil cap in the process (was adding oil) :( replaced that now...
Have however found another problem....was wondering if this has any relation to the original problem of cutting out??!!

The thermostat dial is saying that my car after hard driving for an hour is 79 degrees where as the one on the MFA is saying 94 degrees... now i'm not sure if these are supposed to correspond to each other, in the past they have...im sure?

Can some one tell me is this is an issue and would i need to replace anything??

Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks Guys!!

This isn't the answer to the problem, but I recently had to couch up £200 on my 8v to replace the ecu relay & the coil pack after starting problems when it was hot, the garage reckon it may not have been fitted properly by a past owner & was not earthing properly not to mention it was glowing red!

Just thought I'd mention it.

Right i know exactly what happens now.....as it's been okay for two weeks but the problems is back!!!

1st of all it starts out by hesitating (like its being starved of fuel) Revs go up as normal but i don't seem to go anywhere. Foot will be flat down in second gear and by the time i get up to 6k i'm doing 40 mph if i'm lucky! that will happen a couple of times over a day and then it gets to the point where it does the same thing but then cuts out. :(

HELP ME !!!
