8v on bike carbs

I was looking at this a few years ago and pretty much gave up because of the manifold
anyone got any further with it at all
got pics of the manifold etc?

On a crossflow - its easy, on a counterflow, its a mess.

how easy are crossflow heads to get hold of?
would i be better going to 16v?

Youd be better with a 16v engine and ditching the carbs idea, they suck compared to throttle bodies.

yeah but its not cheap anymore then is it.
have looked  throttle bodies but it costs to much tbh

You can get a crossflow head from a mk4 golf 1.6 i think? cant quite remember.

Lots of Golf 4s, Boras, Passats and Seats have crossflow heads.  They're generally badged 1.6 or 2.0 - the head is basically the same.

I have one in my Golf.

To be honest, if I was doing it again I wouldn't waste my time, I'd go straight to ABF.

Bike carbs = tuning FAIL.
