Dash panel insert
« on: 25 November 2010, 13:02 »
Getting this changed on the car today. (Due to a rattle behind the dash)

The garage wants to know all my previous programming (i.e. fitting rear led's, bluetooth etc)

Does changing the dash panel insert require them to completely wipe the car's programming ?

It's due to having to reprogram the car keys.

Darrens the one which will know but i cannot see why they need it.  :undecided:

Im guessing it the shiny plastic decorative trim panels either side of the steeringwheel causing a rattle what they are changing?

They shouldn't need to know anything other than your service plan and mileage which they will know when they plug it into Vas?

They don't even change any thing themselves its all done by the automated guide on Vas.

They're probably disconnecting the battery which may or may not bring your programs to a default setting
