Yeah but it was a "new" car, the MKVI is pretty much just a facelift with a bit extra. THe new one os nothing special over the old one in either looks or performance. The new civic looked like something out of the future despite the lack of a new engine which made it good telly. Non VW nuts will barely be able to tell the difference between the old and new GTI.
