hi im very confused here about 3 days ago i took off my inlet manifold and throttle body and painted them up as they were looking rank, anyway after i done that and put it back on the same day i drove it down the road and it felt really wierd.
symtoms -

1 -the car is juddering in low revs when i rev it up
2- it has no power when i put my foot down it goes but lagging alot and doesnt move like its supposed to.

oh and my car is a vr6 by the way.
please help!!!! im lost on what to check

could it be my throttle body ??? or my throttle cable ??? or something else.
i took off all the pipes and sensorsa and took out my inlet mani and throttle and put everything back toghether again when i painted it 3 days ago.
and i just checked it over again and everything seems fine but i dont know whats wrong with it.
its just super slow and judders in low revs once im over 2k revs its fine but still has no power and is idleing at half under 1k

check for splits in your vacuum pipes, throttle it by hand under the bonnet and listen for suction

If the inlet manifold is drawing air through a dodgy gasket that would account for the probs you are getting. You need to fix it asp as the weak mixture will burn the valves/pistons etc.

Hi, if its anything like the 16v as i replaced my TB not long ago, on mine the wires from the position sensor ran round the back of the engine these can get cooked from the heat of the engine as my car was juddering between 3 and 4000 revs. i did not put a new gasket on my new TB as one was already on it once i did that i reset my ECU by disconecting my bat for 30 mins . these are some of the things i got told so hope it helps.

Good Luck Nic

Not sure for your car so just check all pipes for splits, listen under your bonnet for air drawing in, mines an 8valve and the vacuum pipes connect to the big air intake pipe going into the throttle body so if it's similar you may have split em takin it apart.
