This is my first post so please forive me if im doing this wrong...
I have just bought a mk 2 16v gti and i absolutely love it however, i have noticed that the water temp light comes on and of quite a lot mainly when ive just booted it or driving slowly, when i turn the ignition off the fan usually stays on for a couple of minutes. Ive checked the water level and oil level, both look fine and cant work out whats going on, could it be thermostat? it mainly happens when i floor it. please help
