Electronic Boot Popper and Button Start
« on: 26 July 2009, 15:41 »
The latter is a little more pointless but anyone know of any guides to fit an electronic boot popper to remove the lock? from a button inside somewhere on the dash??

The button start would be a fancy touch, but each to their own before the flames start lol.!

Any guides or advice would be nice thanks :)

can you take the ignition apart and put a push to make button in the wire that turns live when the ignition is turned on or something like that. Or is it A LOT more complicated? :D :D :D

That's pretty much how you do it. Key in and to position 2 then hit the button to spin the starter.

Yup its that easy, but you can be really smart, and have a panel with a button and a 2 flick switches with LED's on,

One you flick and a green LED comes on which is your ignition on, and the 2nd is an emergeny cutout that puts the system into what is key position 1

or just have the one switch :)

depends how good you are at electronics :)

As for the boot popper i did search but only in the mk3 section and the detailing parts but ill search the mk2 as well :)

Thanks

Ryan
