central locking
« on: 21 July 2009, 12:31 »
hi! I got a problem with my locking! It's the keyed locking that only opens the drivers door. I get in the car, start up push the door pin down and then up again and all unlock. The key closes all the locks though! Any ideas??

ok, let me see if i understood right. when using the key in the drivers door to unlock it only unlocks the drivers door. but the drivers door pin will unlock/lock all the doors. but when using the drivers door to lock it locks all the doors?

so you got a problem with the drivers door when using the key to unlock all the doors?

sounds like a problem around the barrel then. does the passenger side work fine? if so then take the door cards off and compare the two, passenger and drivers. sounds like a latch or something has come off or broke, so when you turn the key clockwise to unlock, it only does the drivers door. could be a vacuum line come off....

get the door card off and have a look, if nothing is obvious then compare to the passenger.....

that will happen if you hold the key in one position, its not a fault it was designed to do it!
