Four days ago i picked up my second ever golf, and boy do i love it. I've driven Primera GT's for the last three years (had a total of ten...) but i wanted a car that stood out from the norm, plus i wanted to drive something that gets respect, not spotty chavs pointing fingers.
I had a 92/J 16V previous to this, with only 77K on the clock which was lovely but i sold that so i could insure my ex onto a more insurance friendly car when she passed her test. Now i'm a single man again and in need of a change, i've bought my current GTI.
It's a '90 8V 5dr with 107K on the clock. Both the exterior and interior is outstanding, hardly a mark on it anywhere - i've got a couple of little niggles to sort, but nothing much. The car's fitted with GMax shocks & springs (which actually seems rather good, considering how cheap they are) and a cat-back stainless system but i'm not sure of the brand. It's looks much like the Jetex, but just not. It's also got a lovely set of mirror polished Estoril alloys wrapped in ZZ3's and i have to say that in the dry the handling is fantastic... it puts a massive grin on my face!
It also pops on the down change, which is sweet!
Two of my good mates are Mk2 specialists, so they're going to keep the car in top mechanical shape, but i'm going to upgrade the stereo, possibly change the wheels and sort a couple of cosmetic issues.

Sorry, i haven't yet taken any photos of the car... as i haven't had the chance to wash it yet! Soon as i have i'll post up to show it off!
