Dipstick
« on: 01 January 2010, 13:29 »
Recently bought a 16V and noticed today that the dipstick is loose in the tube.  Should it be a tight fit or should there be an O ring on the dipstick or something else?

Your probably missing one of these that sit on the top of the dipstick tube and your dipstick slots into.

The non genuine ones are a sh!te fit (I bought one) and the genuine ones from Volkwagen are only about £1 more so got one from them.. Think they are about £2.75 and they keep them in stock as they are a popular item !!
