was just wondering if a sump off a gti 8v would fit a 16v??

I'm new to golf in specific, but I think on what I've read, the only difference is the top end of the block, so the sump I'd imagine would be the same.

Someone with a definate answer should be along soon though.

16v's have ali sumps, 8v's ahve steel    bolt pattern look the same tho

Yes 16v's have the Alloy sump, but 8v ones will fit on. My 16v has a 8v steel sump fitted.
