Not a golf I know, but I have
just bought a 2000 (w) 1.8 se Passat
(Family requirements) , Cambelt change is quoted at 120,000 miles for this model, yet 80,000miles for the year before?
Has anybody got any experience of this?
80,000 sounds a long time to me let alone 120,000!!!.
Dealer's quoting @?500 for labour ,tensioner,belt.!!
(whole front end off apparently)
Have got an indepent I use for my Mk2 golf but
wonder whether this should be left to the dealer?
Any thoughts,
