Just did a search on changing a mk4 gear knob  :smug: (Im getting better Rhys)  :laugh:

Anyway in one of  the searches this came up

"Normally peeps cut an inch or two of the gear stick to simulate a short shift & then the knob is just glued on! "

Feck me Im no mechanic but talk about bodge it and son.....  :shocked:

Glad I dont have a Mk3 and ask for advice over there :shocked:

I noticed this earlier in the "mods for under £100 quid thread" - or it might have been the link to UK mkiv's within the thread:shocked: Unbelievable what some people will do lol

AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.
