help with coilovers

Hi all this is my first post and ive all ready got a question lol!

I fitted some coilovers to my golf earlier and when i went to put my front wheel on i found my tyre was slightly rubbing on the adjuster ring can anyone help or have any suggestions as to what i can do?

hi just adjuste the rings higher or get spacers..... i fitted mine today and had same prob   :wink:
now drivin a golf 1.9 tdi 90bhp ... time to rack up them miles!! as my daily

Steve had the same problem, I think he fitted 5mm spacers all round

Hi thanks for the advice do you think i will have to fit longer wheel bolts if i fit spacers

5mm spacer will do the job, I would fit longer bolts aswell as I have wheel wobble when using the standard bolts
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

think we all get tht bloody problem i just wacked some spacers on :) but you may need to get longer wheel nuts!!

just dont have it so low that it catch's. One thing you have to remember is when lowering on coilovers it causes extra stress on the wishbone bushes and would probs say that a few months down the line you'll have to replace the front wishbone rear bush. When you change them upgrade to the much stronger Audi TT bush.
