What tools please.

I will be trying to fix my drivers and passenger electric window on my 2 door 8v gti, just to grease the runners. Before i start i need to know what tools i need to get the interior trim etc off, as my tools are kept away from the house and want every tool to do the job in 1 sitting. Thanks.

Also, my K&N panel filter has been in for a year or so and could prob do with a clean, are the filter products they suggest really worth buying or is there an alternative to clean them with i.e WD40?? and is the oil necessary to put on afterwards.

Hi..all you need is a screwdriver to remove the doorcard, the door arm cover unclips, so does the big main card around the edges..Just two big phillips head bolts inside the door arm, unscrew the door locking knob/pin and carefully jiggle the card away..disconnecting wiring connectors as you go.
As for tackling the actual electric window itself then a good arsenal of tools to hand! with me anyways there's always one tool or another i've forgotten or need
