My MK3 8v GTI - Breaking..... sort of!
« on: 06 June 2009, 18:26 »
Hi Everyone,

Well, the day to day driving of the golf finally came to an end, the cars feeling a little worn and tired and it had to be garaged when the clutch finally gave up.  I've bought a big black turbo diesel Saab for the day to day car (cheaper, yada yada)..... but the Golf hasn't gone!

The plan is to turn it into a track/rally car!  Before anybody jumps on the wagon, I know that the car is very far from the best for this type of thing, but I'm doing this on a zero (yes, no money) budget, so I can't even afford to swap it for something better (unless someone has a car they'd like to swap? , serious offers considered).

This means that a lot of the "decorative" parts of the car have to go (to save weight) so these are obviously up for sale, along with any other parts that I don't need (or can be swapped).
Interior trim (all in good condition).
Fusion speaker setup, with crossovers.  In dash/rear trim tweeter mounts modified to take speakers (I'm sadly quite proud of this fitment, lol).

For example, perhaps you've got a knackered door card that's structurally sound, but scuffed/damaged.  I'll happily swap my good ones for your scuffed ones with a little cash.

Hopefully by selling the parts of the car I don't need I can fund turning this project, at least in part!

Please pm me for offers etc.

Cheers, Kae.

It if can't be achieved with brute force and ignorance, then the Haynes manual will have to be read!
