Urgent Help I think she's sick!!

Hi guys,

I was driving a while ago and and when changing into second gear at around 3k i put my foot down the rev's stick at 3k but the engine was reving then shot over to 5k then back to 3?? all this in a mtter of 2-3 seconds, but this was not all the time. Now its happening more regualr but its now also doing the same in 3rd gear but all through the gear as soon as i change into 4th ts back to normal?? 

Any 1 got any ideas or suggestions??

so you plant your foot, the revs shoot up but you don't increase speed? just want to make sure i've read it right

if so you need a new clutch

slipping clutch plate buddy... so you need a new clutch as suggested by the knowledgeable rhyso has also suggested

yeah thats about it mate no power for that spilt second, any other ways of checkin the clutch?? any idea on price on a new clutch??

Handbrake on, try to pull away in 1st gear. If it's really bad it'll just rev up.. but to be honest your description really only points to a clutch on it's way out.

as has been said previous it sounds like your clutch is starting to slip i'm afraid  upgrade time then

wasting your time and money.  Just do as Topher describes...........
