HT leads/sparkplugs issue...

So a mate of mine said he can get me a pair of £70 HT leads for £35, 'cause he knows the guy who works at the shop, went to pick 'em up y'day, got some 'plugs from GSF, got the plugs in, and it turns out the leads are the wrong ones (even though they were listed in the book as '88-'94 Golf GTI) so I go to put the old ones back on, and they're not sitting right on the new plugs, they won't go down as far as they were on the first plugs, they were wiggling about, and coming off too easy, so I don't wanna start it/drive it about

If you've fitted new plugs - remember to remove the little screw on bullet on the top - my HT leads are designed for use without those, it contacts the thread instead.

Haha yea got it now just to make sure...going into the dizzy, the HT leads going clockwise should be 1 (being closest to the cambelt), 3, 4, 2??
