Out of shape tyres

Evening all, took the golf to dealer today to investigate a possable wheel bearing problem. After a test drive and inspection apparently it's the tyres. The rears are out of shape I've got gsd3,s all round, has anyone else had this problem. Made in china btw. Cheers.

If bought from a dealer - take it back and get UK supplied tyres.

If private, sounds like you are goosed. Tyres are cheapo imports not to EU/UK spec. I'd personally sue the barsteward you bought the car from anyway :angry:

Had car 3years so why would I sue the barstewards!!!!!! Tyres 1year old.also why would it be dealers fault he just sold a product.

The China made GSD3s are UK legal. Check there is an E mark in a circle on the sidewall (usually with a number). There were some from Taiwan, I think, that didn't have the E mark. If there is no E mark, go to where you got them from and they should replace them FOC or they'll be in trouble with Trading Standards.

I had a problem with a set of GSD3's last year. Car was violently pulling to one side.

It's not illegal in the UK to drive or use non-"E" marked tyres, its just illegal to sell them in the UK.

Telephone the Goodyear technical service department and see what they say. In the meantime if you bought the tyres from a reputable source, I would be getting in contact with them sharpish.

My Eagles only last 12k on the front or 4 months  :cry:
