fitted a new head unit in my mk2 everyting went ok,once all head unit was fitted back in the dash it wouldnt work checked everything over and have on power at ignition live (did to start with all stereo worked fine) coming out of the ignition switch (brown/red) I have 2 mk2`s and tried it on my other car again everything worked ok but then pop same happened no power at ign live,I know its easy enough to find another source for the stereo but why has the igntion switch gone tits up,wouldnt a fuse have blown if anything touched and is the switch now goosed evertyhing else works apart from the brown/red stereo feed..cheers for any help..
